A Florida woman made headlines in December 2015 after deputies said she rode a motorized shopping cart around a Walmart in Lecanto while eating and drinking items she had not paid for.
According to CBS Miami, 25 year old Josseleen was arrested on a Tuesday at the store. A Walmart employee told deputies she seemed to be acting strangely and then noticed an almost empty bottle of wine in her cart. Deputies said the food and wine she consumed was worth about $32.
When deputies arrived, they reported finding that she had been eating sushi, part of a rotisserie chicken and cinnamon rolls, and had drunk two bottles of wine. Josseleen reportedly told deputies she was homeless and hungry, and said she did not want to carry the food outside.
Deputies also reported finding two empty syringes after her arrest. According to the arrest report, she told them they had been used to inject crystal meth.
She was charged with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia. These are charges, not convictions, and she was reported to have acknowledged that she was wrong.
