The legal cloud hanging over CJ Wallace has finally cleared. The entrepreneur and son of the late Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans has officially come out on top in a defamation suit against Jonathan Hay.

A court order finalized confirmed a default victory for Wallace, bringing a swift end to a messy public feud with his former musical collaborator.

The lawsuit was triggered by a series of explosive interviews Hay conducted last year. During those sit downs, Hay spread a variety of damaging rumors, including claims that Wallace was involved in sexual encounters with Diddy. He further alleged that Wallace witnessed illegal activity at Combs’ events and even accused the young mogul of orchestrating a situation that led to Hay being assaulted.

Wallace’s legal team argued that these stories were nothing more than a “calculated smear campaign” born out of professional spite. The two had worked together back in 2020 on a remix titled “Ready to Dance,” but plans for a full album fell apart.

Wallace cited “erratic behavior” from Hay and a lack of creative chemistry as the reasons for pulling the plug, a move that reportedly sparked Hay’s retaliation.

The win was secured by default because Hay essentially disappeared. Process servers tried to hand deliver legal documents to his Florida homes seventeen times to no avail. After Hay ignored every attempt at notification, the court moved forward without him.

While the defamation case is now closed, a separate civil complaint Hay filed in Los Angeles regarding similar allegations remains active.
