Jordyn Lucas wasn’t expecting to meet an Asian student while visiting Howard University, but her surprise quickly turned into flirtation once the two started talking. The streamer wasted little time making her interest known, inviting the student to hang out after discovering he attended the historically Black university.

The interaction unfolded during a Jordyn Lucas livestream at Howard University on October 13. According to a transcript of the encounter, Lucas appeared genuinely caught off guard when she learned the young man was enrolled at the school.“Wait, you go here?” she asked.
After he confirmed that he did, Lucas continued the conversation by asking where he was from, with Cleveland coming up during their exchange.
However, what started as a simple conversation quickly turned into something more playful. Rather than exchanging a few words and continuing on her way, Lucas decided to shoot her shot.
She invited the student to an event taking place nearby and made it clear that she wanted him to join her.
“Meet me there, though. Pull up, sit with me,” she told him.
Lucas wasn’t being subtle about wanting to spend more time with him. Her direct approach transformed an unexpected campus encounter into a potential meetup, with the streamer confidently taking the lead.
The pair eventually exchanged information before going their separate ways, but Lucas had one more comment to make about the student.
As she walked away, she appeared particularly impressed by his noticeably deep voice, which stood out during their conversation.
“He sounded like a real [expletive],” she remarked after leaving him, according to the livestream transcript.
Her reaction suggested that his voice had made quite an impression, adding another entertaining element to an encounter that started with her surprise over his enrollment.
According to Streams Charts, Lucas broadcast a livestream titled “Live @ Howard University!” on October 13. The visit also coincided with the university’s homecoming festivities, as confirmed by Howard University’s official event calendar.
Although the transcript doesn’t identify the nearby event Lucas invited the student to attend, the encounter took place during an especially active week on campus.
Her initial surprise also highlights a common misconception about historically Black colleges and universities. While Howard has a longstanding mission centered on Black education and culture, its student body includes people from different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
In fact, Howard University has documented its history of welcoming Korean students dating back to the 1890s, demonstrating that Asian students have long been part of the institution’s story.
Still, the most entertaining part of Lucas’s interaction was how quickly she switched gears. One minute, she was questioning whether the student attended Howard. The next, she was inviting him to sit beside her at an event and exchanging contact information.
Whether the two actually reunited remains unknown, but Lucas certainly made her interest clear before walking away.
