Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replay 2026 are just weeks away, and the countdown to finding out who really soundtracked your year has officially started.
Spotify hasn’t announced a date yet, but Wrapped usually drops in late November or early December. Last year, it counted listening through mid November, so there may still be time to shape your list, or at least try. Apple Music users have been able to track their listening throughout the year through Replay, which provides regularly updated insights. Its full year end recap typically arrives around the same time as Wrapped.
So the big question: What songs and albums do you expect to see on yours?
Some people already know their No. 1. They’ve had the same album on repeat since the day it dropped, and their Wrapped is basically just a receipt. Others are in for a surprise, because Wrapped has a way of telling the truth about you that you never asked for.
The Artist You “Don’t Even Like”
Every year, it happens. Someone spends months saying an artist is overrated, that their music all sounds the same, that they would never willingly press play. Then Wrapped comes out, and that same artist is sitting in their top five with 2,000 minutes of listening time.
Was it the gym playlist? The road trip? A significant other who kept taking the aux? Nobody will ever know, and the slides definitely won’t explain.
The Genre You Never Talk About
This year’s charts have plenty of traps. Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” became one of the biggest crossover hits of the year, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for a record breaking run for a female country artist. That means a lot of people who swear they don’t listen to country may want to check their stats before they speak. And Bruno Mars spent multiple weeks at No. 1 with “I Just Might,” so if you’ve been humming it in the car, you’re not alone.
The Song That Says Too Much About Your Year
Then there’s the No. 1 song that tells a whole story. The breakup anthem you played 400 times in March. The love song from the beginning of a situationship that didn’t make it to summer. The motivational track you ran back every single morning when you were locking in. Wrapped doesn’t judge, but it does remember.
The Real Ones
And of course, there’s the artist who’s been in your top spot for years. No matter who drops what, they stay at No. 1 like they pay rent there. That’s not a habit anymore. That’s loyalty.
Before the slides start flooding the timeline, tell us what you’re predicting. Which song do you think will be your No. 1? Which album carried your year? And which artist do you already know is going to show up and embarrass you?
Whatever your Wrapped says this year, the numbers don’t lie, even when we do.
