Many Americans have recently been in fear over the possibility of a war with Iran, thanks to Trump’s latest stunt that left the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps leader, Qassem Soleimani, dead.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is a documented terrorist group in the U.S. and its now-deceased leader-led Iran’s military for the Assad regime in Syria. However, the government there is reportedly harshly unsparing, and Soleimani has been the blame for countless deaths of civilians.
In fact, the Pentagon accused Soleimani of planning and executing attacks on American service personnel and diplomats, prompting Trump to command the air attack on January 3rd.
But now that Soleimani has been killed, Iranian lawmaker, Ahmad Hamzeh is offering up a $3 million reward to the person who kills Donald Trump, in retaliation. He offered his proposal during his speech to Parliament in Tehran. It is still unclear at this time whether or not Iranian leaders are backing Hamzeh’s quest.
“On behalf of the people of Kerman province, we will pay a $3 million reward, in cash, to whoever kills Trump,” he said, according to Fox News.
“… if we had nuclear weapons today, we would be protected from threats. We should put the production of long-range missiles capable of carrying unconventional warheads on our agenda. This is our natural right,” he continued, according to ISNA.
Iran’s military response to Trump’s deadly airstrike was quick and inefficient. ON January 8th, two U.S. bases were struck by missiles, but no one was injured.
While some embraced Trump’s decision, others said his strategy was a risky that instigated potential for a war between Iran & the U.S.
“The killing of Soleimani was to prevent a war, not start one,” Trump said.
