Ciara is opening up about her plans to marry Future, while Brittni, the mother of one of the rapper’s children, says the newly engaged couple is still in the honeymoon phase.
Future proposed to Ciara in October with a 15 carat diamond ring while she was celebrating her 28th birthday in New York. In an interview with E! News, Ciara said the two have started talking about the big day, even though a date has not been set. “We talked about what we want to do,” she said. “We want it to be very special. I know I don’t want it to be like burning hot out. I want perfect weather! Like right when the sun starts to get really warm or right when it ends.”
She also has a grand entrance in mind. “I’m thinking I want a spotlight when I come down the aisle,” Ciara said. “It has to be nice! It’s the performer in me!”
Not everyone is cheering the couple on. Brittni, who shares a son with Future, suggested Ciara does not know the whole story yet. “I know the real ‘him,’ the part she [Ciara] doesn’t know,” she said. “They are just ‘honeymooning’ right now. Everything always seems perfect in the beginning.”
The engagement has also sparked rumors that Ciara is expecting, after fans thought she appeared to have a baby bump during a recent performance in New York. Neither Ciara nor Future has confirmed a pregnancy. The couple has been together for about a year, and Future co-wrote and co-produced Ciara’s hit “Body Party” from her 2013 self-titled album.
