Instagram direct messages are the new way to start a conversation, and a pair of screenshots posted online in January 2015 put soccer star Mario Balotelli right in the middle of the chatter.
According to social media posts, a man named Jonatan tweeted screenshots of a message exchange that he said was between Balotelli and his girlfriend Maria, who is 19. Jonatan said he and Maria are still together. After that, another 19 year old woman named Margret reportedly shared her own messages with the Italian player.
As described by those who saw the screenshots, the messages were mostly light and flirty. Baller Alert could not independently verify the screenshots, and Balotelli had not publicly commented on them at the time of this report.
