Jeannie and Jeezy

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy tied the knot earlier this week, and the newlyweds are making sure their marital bliss is purposeful.

According to the New York Daily News, the couple announced that they are using their recent wedding to support those affected by the violent attacks against Asian Americans across the country.

They created a charity wedding registry to support of Stop Asian Hate movement, an organization that offers funding and support for Asian-owned businesses and foundations.

“For the past year, Asian Americans have tweeted, posted, and cried out for help,” the host of “The Real” told The Knot. “Violent attacks against people of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community have gone up 150% since 2020, 68% of them being Asian women.”

“It’s no longer enough to say, ‘I’m not racist.’ We need to be anti-racist, and that’s harder,” Mai continued.

The couple’s charity which was launched on March 31 via a GofundMe campaign, has already raised $5,500 of its $50,000 goal.
