Jeezy & Jeannie Mai Tie The Knot At Their Atlanta Mansion (Pics)

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai have tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at their Atlanta estate with close family and friends in attendance.

The wedding took place on March 27th, one year after the “Put On” rapper popped the question to his TV host boo. Last March, Jeezy planned an elaborate trip to Vietnam, where he was planning on proposing to Mai. However, the onset of the coronavirus pandemic halted his plans. As an alternative, Jeezy proposed to Mai during a quarantine Vietnam-themed date night at his Los Angeles home.

The pandemic also hindered their wedding plans, forcing them to scratch their destination wedding. The Real star told Vogue that the couple did not want to wait any longer to get married despite the setbacks.

“We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate. But we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID. After Jeezy’s mother unexpectedly passed, we quickly learned that life is too short. And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends.”

The couple worked with celebrity wedding planner Suzanne Reinhard and required everyone to be tested for COVID-19 before the wedding. Mai wore a gown by renowned designer Galia Lahav. Jeezy wore a custom-tailored champagne-colored tuxedo by TeoFilo Flor. Guests to the ceremony were required to wear off-white and leave their cell phones at the door.

The intimate ceremony took place in the open garden of the home. Jeezy’s father paid homage to the rapper’s late mother, Sharon Jenkins, by placing a pink rose on a reserved empty seat. Pastor John Maxwell officiated the wedding. The couple also incorporated Vietnamese culture into the marriage by conducting a traditional tea ritual to welcome one another into the other’s family.

After the wedding, the couple opted for a laid-back reception, with attendees changing into pajamas and dancing in the home’s lounge area.

Congrats to Jeezy and Jeannie Mai. Check out the beautiful images of their nuptials, which Vogue captured.
