Jhene Aiko’s husband, producer Dot Da Genius, lost his wife to Big Sean, but he’s not letting go that easily.
Jhene and Dot Da Genius secretly wed in July 2014. Over the summer, Jhene and Big Sean introduced their Twenty88 project and toured the country suggestively showcasing their love for one another on stage. In August 2016, after being criticized by fans, Jhene took to social media to explain why she was ending things with her husband. She said that she and Dot lived in separate homes and he was still best friends with his ex. She also claimed Dot had a drug problem and was abusive. Dot then broke his silence by posting a message on Instagram, claiming that he was never abusive or violent towards Jhene and that he’s focused on his family.
All seemed to be pretty quiet between Dot and Jhene since their back and forth in August. Jhene Aiko filed for divorce over the summer, listing their official date of separation as July 2015 and citing irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split. According to Bossip, Dot is working on figuring out what property from the marriage he can lay claim to as well as their joint debts and how property should be split. He also wants Jhene to pay his lawyer’s fees, and most of all, he is seeking spousal support from Jhene and wants the court to make sure she can’t collect any alimony from him.
