Justin Bieber was reportedly put in a chokehold by festival security and asked to leave Coachella during Drake’s set Sunday night, according to TMZ.
CBS News, relaying TMZ’s report, said Bieber and his crew were turned away from the artist entrance because the area was at capacity, even though they had wristbands. Sources told TMZ that Bieber argued his way in and a Coachella staffer agreed to walk him to the artist area. TMZ reported that a security guard then came up from behind and put him in a chokehold, and that security asked him to leave the festival.
TMZ also reported that Bieber is looking into legal action. CBS noted that TMZ had video of the moment but that it was hard to tell what was happening in it. Neither Bieber’s team nor Coachella had commented on the account.
