The split between Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker has officially spiraled into a bitter legal standoff over money, real estate, and their two children.
New court documents obtained by TMZ show the “RHOA” OG isn’t holding back, claiming Todd has turned her guest house into a personal rent-free retreat. Kandi alleges that since she filed for divorce in November 2025, Todd hasn’t contributed a dime to the maintenance of the Atlanta property she purchased before their marriage. She says he hasn’t paid a “single expense for the maintenance and upkeep of the home, to include, utilities, gas, lawn care, water, pest control or even fees associated with the alarm system.”
The financial friction goes beyond the guest house. Kandi claims that while she’s been in New York starring on Broadway, Todd has essentially checked out on their kids’ expenses. She alleges he “refused to contribute” to the costs of their children’s birthday parties and hasn’t helped with tuition, school supplies, or child support for Ace and Blaze. While Todd portrays himself as a doting, hands on dad on social media, Kandi’s filing suggests a different story, noting that a hired nanny handles the majority of the heavy lifting.
Todd isn’t staying quiet, though. He’s hit back with his own set of allegations, claiming Kandi essentially forced him into the guest house by having her family move his belongings out of the main residence without warning. Todd argues he only stayed on the property to “preserve peace and stability” during a messy time. He also claims that Kandi’s Broadway schedule has made her an “absent” parent, leading him to file for primary legal and physical custody. According to Todd, Kandi is simply “weaponizing” a financial arrangement she created herself to make him look like a deadbeat.
What started as a request for joint custody has now morphed into a “winner takes all” battle.
After Todd demanded sole custody, Kandi immediately countered with the same request. Both sides are now dug into their respective corners, with a judge left to decide whether Kandi is prioritizing her career over her family or if Todd is truly taking advantage of her success.
With a custody hearing on the horizon, this “RHOA” drama is proving to be far more intense than any reunion special.
