Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting a divorce after nearly six years of marriage.
Several sources confirmed to Page Six that 40-year-old Kardashian had secured high-end celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser. The sources claim that “divorce is imminent.”
Recently, Kardashian has been spotted without her wedding ring. West was not in attendance at any of the Kardashian’s extravagant holiday celebrations. Instead, he chose to distance himself and remain at his $14 million Wyoming ranch.
One source says that the couple is “keeping it low-key, but they are done” and that they are “in settlement talks.”
“Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done,” the source added.
Kardashian has tried to help West deal with his mental struggles. However, the beauty mogul has grown apart from the rapper turned sneaker tycoon as she focuses on her justice reform efforts and becoming a lawyer.
Another source says that West has also grown past the Kardashians’ reality television lifestyle and “wants nothing to do with them.”
Divorce rumors have been swirling since July, when West tweeted, “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf [sic] for ‘prison reform,’” referring to a criminal justice reform summit that both Kardashian and rapper Meek Mill attended in November 2018. During that rant, West also referred to his mother-in-law Kris Jenner as “Kris Jong-Un.”
The pair appeared to reconcile in October for Kardashian’s birthday when he gifted her a hologram of her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr. However, the source claims that Kayne only showed up for one day of his wife’s birthday celebration in Tahiti.
The couple shares four children and wed on May 24th, 2014.
