A petition has been established for the founder of the Trenches brand, Rashod Stanley, following his sophisticated jailhouse exhibit, which attracted thousands of viewers online and landed him in hot water with prison officials.

“My son was moved from Calhoun State Prison and is currently being held in solitary confinement on Tier 2 at Macon State Prison for ‘the prison fashion show video’ that went viral I posted on 12/3/20,” a message shared to his @2500shod Instagram account read.

While Stanley’s mother revealed that he already did 30 days in solitary confinement for the fashion show, moving him to Tier 2 means that he will now have to live in solitary confinement for nine months. For showcasing his talents, the man, who’s nickname is “Atlanta Santana,” has been charged with “attempt to aid in escape” and “altering state property” because he made the clothing using paper clips and dental floss, which is a violation of the state prison.

According to his official Trenches website, Stanley once owned a shop near Atlanta before being incarcerated on several robbery charges. Since his incarceration, Stanley has been determined to turn his life around after falling in with the wrong crowd and making poor choices. By showcasing his creativity and inspiring others to “make something out of nothing,” he hopes to make a difference with others in tough situations.

Per the Georgia Department of Corrections, Stanley’s latest possible release date is February 2nd, 2025. The site lists his most recent institution location as Macon State Prison in Georgia.
