Kim Zolciak isn’t staying quiet while headlines suggest she’s been barred from her children.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” veteran took to her Instagram Story this Friday to dismantle reports that she was stripped of her parental rights until she finishes court-ordered therapy.
According to the 47-year-old, the current narrative is a total fabrication. She made it clear that while she and her ex-husband, 40-year-old Kroy Biermann, are following a legal framework, she has “not lost custody” of their four minors—Kroy Jr., Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane.
“I signed a temporary custody order at the end of January,” Zolciak clarified for her followers. “The order clearly states that both the mother and father are to participate in two counseling sessions per month for two months, followed by one session per month thereafter. I was out of the country from February 26 through March 28 due to contractual filming obligations on two separate productions.”
The reality TV alum explained that her busy professional life, which kept her abroad for over a month, was the only reason she hadn’t sat down for the required meetings. She emphasized that she simply had no days off during that period to fulfill the obligation.
Addressing why the kids are currently with Biermann, she noted that the timing aligns with a pre existing schedule rather than a new legal punishment.
“Kroy as of today (I had KJ and Kash up until 5pm today) currently has the children for spring break, which is his designated parenting time under the existing agreement,” she wrote. “I am scheduled to resume my parenting time when the children return on Friday. My counseling sessions are scheduled and will be completed next week.”
The tension reached a boiling point when Zolciak re-shared a post from TMZ, which had reported on court documents suggesting she wouldn’t see her kids until at least April 13. Beneath the screenshot, she fired back, stating, “I will absolutely not put up with these lies any longer.”
The mother of six wrapped up her statement by doubling down on the fact that her legal standing as a parent is unchanged.
“For the avoidance of any doubt,” she stated, “I have not lost custody of my children, nor has there been any modification to the custody arrangement outside the agreed upon temporary order.”
