The Florida rapper is once again addressing long-running speculation about his alleged drug use. Kodak Black recently appeared in a social media clip where he told viewers he actually quit getting high a long time ago. While fans have questioned his behavior in the past, he made it clear he no longer feels the need to explain himself to people online.
The video shared on Instagram, Kodak speaks directly to the camera about the rumors that continue to follow him. However, the rapper suggested that public opinion is no longer something he focuses on because he knows who truly matters in his life.
“The crazy thing is that I been stopped getting high,” he remarked. “I don’t really too much care to convince the people who don’t really matter for real. ‘Cause I know who matters to me, bro. A lot of y’all don’t even be deserving the real me. I see how y’all treat a n***a if a n***a was on my d*ck. If a n***a was on the side of the street or some s**t. Mind over matter. People who mind, they don’t matter, and people who matter, they don’t mind.”
This also isn’t the first time he has pushed back against drug rumors. During an Instagram Live last October, Kodak addressed speculation that he was using meth and criticized the conversation surrounding his lifestyle.
“I eat good… high or not… I don’t be on no f**king meth,” he said. “There’s meth in every drug… For people who drink liquor, smoke weed; for the people that do anything, y’all don’t know what’s in the ingredients. Y’all just take s**t and don’t even know what the s**t came from, what’s been in it… Mind your own business, for real, for real… Y’all really just want to have something against me.”
