Social media stars Kristy Sarah and Desmond Scott are officially divorced after months of proceedings following the collapse of their highly publicized marriage.
According to TMZ, court records show the former couple submitted the settlement they reached covering the division of property, custody, and support. The finalization closes the legal chapter of a relationship that began when Kristy and Desmond were teenagers and eventually became a major part of the massive brand they built online.
The settlement itself had been taking shape well before the divorce became final. In May, Kristy and Desmond had signed an Agreed Final Decree of Divorce reached through mediation. The documents were filed March 17 and addressed their community and separate property. Us Weekly also reported that Kristy received the exclusive right to designate the primary residence of their sons within Harris County, Texas, while both parents were expected to consult each other on education decisions.
The divorce formally began on December 30, 2025, when Kristy filed in Harris County after more than 11 years of marriage. Court documents showed that Kristy made a direct adultery allegation in her petition, stating, “Desmond Scott has committed adultery.” The filing also said the marriage had become insupportable because of conflict that prevented any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.
Desmond publicly addressed the breakup after news of the filing surfaced in January. In a statement, Desmond said he and Kristy had “faced challenges and made sincere efforts to work through them” before he told her toward the end of 2025 that he wanted to separate. He then acknowledged, “During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of.” Desmond said he took responsibility for those actions, told Kristy directly, and that they ultimately decided to divorce. He did not specifically admit in that statement that he cheated.

That distinction became important as the split turned into a wider cheating scandal online. Kristy’s court filing explicitly accused Desmond of adultery, while his public comments acknowledged unspecified choices without confirming the details behind her allegation. Days after the divorce became public, TMZ obtained video showing Desmond kissing a woman at Sante, a Houston bar. The footage was recorded after Kristy had already filed for divorce.
The woman in that video was later identified as Houston model Marissa Springer. Sources told the outlet that Springer and Desmond met for the first time at the bar that night through a mutual friend. The same report said Springer understood Desmond to be single. Those details matter because the January video did not establish that Springer was involved in the adultery alleged in Kristy’s divorce petition.
Springer later addressed the speculation herself. She pushed back against social media users accusing her of being the woman involved in the alleged cheating that ended the marriage.
The separation continued attracting attention in March when Desmond was linked to Dana Tran. Sources described Desmond and Tran as casually dating and said they began spending time together after Kristy filed for divorce. Those sources specifically maintained that there was no overlap between Desmond’s reported relationship with Tran and his marriage to Kristy.
The divorce marked a sharp turn from the public image Kristy and Desmond had built together. The two had been best friends since their teenage years and married in August 2014 when they were 19 and 20. They later became parents to two sons and built an online audience around their relationship, family life, comedy, and Desmond’s cooking. In August 2024, they celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary with an elaborate event in Houston. At the time, they told People, “10 years flew by, we’ve literally grown up together and navigated life together.”
By late 2025, that marriage was ending. After filing for divorce, Kristy gradually began discussing her life after the separation. In a January video, she described the adjustment as a “new, unexpected chapter” and told viewers, “I’m literally shaking. I’m really nervous making this video, but also my nervous system is like shot. It kind of has been for the past month.”
Desmond has also spoken publicly about adjusting to life after the separation, particularly his time with their children. In June, he described having limited time with his sons as one difficult part of his new reality while emphasizing his commitment to being present for them.
With the settlement submitted and the divorce finalized, Kristy and Desmond are officially moving forward separately after a relationship that lasted from their teenage years through more than a decade of marriage.
