4 Arrested in 49ers Star Keion White Shooting: One Suspect Already Walked Free as Alleged Gunman Is Held Without Bail

Four men have been arrested across California and Georgia in connection with the shooting of San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Keion White, who was wounded during a private Super Bowl party in February.

The arrests mark a major development in the Keion White shooting investigation, which lasted more than eight months and involved multiple law enforcement agencies. According to the San Francisco Police Department, the suspects were identified as Marquis Davis, 38, Antoine Washington, 36, Curtis Green, 35, and Gregory Walker, 36.

Authorities arrested three of the men on October 7. Davis was taken into custody at his Atlanta residence, Washington was arrested in Stockton, California, and Green was apprehended at his home in Irvine, California. Walker, a resident of Mountain House, California, was arrested by Los Angeles police on October 9.

Investigators also recovered significant quantities of drugs, firearms, and cash during the coordinated operation.

According to police, officers searching Davis’ Atlanta residence seized an illegal firearm, approximately 3,842 grams of fentanyl, 1,026 grams of methamphetamine, 979 grams of cocaine, and 820 grams of MDMA.

During Washington’s arrest in Stockton, authorities recovered a loaded firearm, more than 120 oxycodone pills, and approximately $6,691 in cash.

Walker and Green were transferred to San Francisco County Jail on October 12, where prosecutors formally filed charges connected to the incident.

According to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, Walker faces felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm, along with allegations that he discharged a weapon and inflicted great bodily injury. He also faces multiple firearm possession charges related to his status as a convicted felon.

Green faces three misdemeanor firearm charges, including brandishing a weapon, carrying a concealed firearm, and carrying a loaded gun in public.

District Attorney Brooke Jenkins sought to have Walker detained without bail, citing concerns about public safety.

During their October 14 court appearances, Walker was ordered held without bail, while Green was released from custody because his charges are misdemeanors, according to KQED. Neither man entered a plea, and both are scheduled to return to court Monday.

Walker’s attorney, Jeff Wozniak, disputed the allegations and defended his client.

“We’re gonna show that he’s innocent, get him back to his family.”

Davis and Washington had not yet been transferred into San Francisco custody, with authorities coordinating their return for further legal proceedings.

Police said the arrests resulted from an extensive investigation called “Operation D-Line,” which involved more than 50 search warrants and assistance from over 250 law enforcement personnel nationwide.

The Keion White shooting occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on February 9 at Dahlia, a nightclub in San Francisco’s Mission District, where the NFL player was hosting a private celebration following Super Bowl 60.

According to police, several armed individuals “confronted” White inside the nightclub. The encounter escalated into a physical altercation before gunfire erupted, leaving the defensive lineman wounded in his ankle.

Prosecutors allege that Walker and another man who has not yet been charged discharged firearms during the confrontation, resulting in White’s injury. Authorities also allege that Green displayed a firearm during the incident.

White was transported to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery for injuries that officials described as not life-threatening.

The circumstances surrounding the confrontation have also attracted attention because of reports involving Atlanta rapper Lil Baby.

KQED reported that the shooting allegedly followed a dispute involving the rapper, whose real name is Dominique Jones. However, investigators said they have not established a connection between Lil Baby and the arrested suspects. The reported dispute has not been confirmed as the motive for the shooting.

The Keion White shooting investigation remains active as authorities continue reviewing evidence and working to determine exactly what triggered the violence.

Although four arrests have been made, the allegations against the suspects have not been proven in court. Prosecutors have charged two men, while additional criminal proceedings involving the remaining suspects are still pending.
