The feud between Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton has reached a far more personal level after family accusations erupted during the latest episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Sadly, this drama has spilled over online, with Williams making new shocking claims against Morton.
Season 17, Episode 14, titled “Highland Games and Explosive Claims,” aired July 12 and followed the cast during its trip to Scotland. The episode was a moment when family secrets involving Williams and Morton’s came to a head. The confrontation began with the women revisiting Porsha’s decision not to allow her daughter to spend time at Shamea’s home. Shamea argued that their broken friendship should not affect the children. The discussion then shifted toward Shamea’s belief that Porsha had discouraged her from becoming a full time Housewife before turning to unresolved tension between their mothers.
During the dinner, Shamea alleged, “Your mom tried to sleep with my dad.” Porsha denied the accusation and responded with a separate allegation that Shamea’s mother had been involved with Shamea’s paternal uncle. Shamea denied Porsha’s claim. Neither woman presented independently verified evidence supporting the accusations during the exchange.

The clash continued after the episode when Porsha addressed the situation publicly. In a July 13 post on X, Porsha said she was catching up on the conversation while in the Bahamas and could not believe people were discussing her mother while mentioning her daughter negatively. Porsha accused Shamea of taking the situation too far and described the allegation involving her mother as “a lie.”
Porsha then introduced several new accusations that did not appear in the televised dinner. She alleged that Shamea had been involved with her manager, whom Porsha described as married to one of Shamea’s high school friends. Porsha also accused Shamea of being involved with “a pastor in Decatur” and claimed there were “many more.” Porsha’s post did not include documents, messages, names, or other evidence supporting those allegations.
What makes the Porsha and Shamea feud different from an ordinary reality television fallout is the history between them. The pair became close as children because their mothers were also best friends. The relationship appeared to reach a historic low after Shamea became a full time peach holder for Season 16 and other cast members began questioning whether their friendship was balanced.
Shamea previously explained how deeply that shift affected her. During a May 2025 interview with Decider, Shamea said she felt Porsha had allowed other cast members to analyze their relationship without first speaking directly to her. Reflecting on their history, Shamea said, “After 20 years of friendship I still didn’t get that grace.”
There had been moments when reconciliation still appeared possible. The women attempted to discuss their problems during Season 16. Shamea accused Porsha of dismissing her feelings, while Porsha became emotional and told her, “I don’t wanna break up with you, Shamea.” Bravo reported that they apologized, held hands, exchanged expressions of love, and agreed to handle future issues privately.
That agreement did not hold. At the Season 16 reunion, Porsha and Shamea offered different explanations for how their friendship deteriorated. Cynthia Bailey encouraged them not to abandon the relationship, telling them, “Please don’t throw this friendship away.” The current season has instead documented the conflict becoming more public and more difficult to contain.
Bringing their mothers into the argument changed the stakes. Bringing a child into the discussion raised them again. Porsha’s decision to answer a family accusation with new allegations about Shamea’s private relationships pushed the conflict beyond what viewers watched at dinner.
The pair may disagree about who betrayed whom first, but both have reached into decades of shared family history while trying to defend themselves. Until evidence or direct responses emerge, the most explosive claims should remain labeled exactly as they are: unverified allegations made during the collapse of a once close friendship.
