Lil Meech isn’t ready to confirm or deny whether 50 Cent sponsored his rumored rehab stint.
When asked by TMZ this week about 50’s earlier claim that he sent him to rehab for substance abuse, Meech responded, “Where I’m from, everybody needs rehab.”
The controversy resurfaced last month when 50 Cent posted a picture of Meech asleep in a wheelchair, accompanied by Amy Winehouse’s song “Rehab” playing in the background.
“Damn this is BAD…you believe me now,” the New York rapper wrote.
In another post, the media mogul called on Floyd Mayweather and Rick Ross to help Meech, writing, “You used him and now you’re not gonna be there for him. SMH.”
The tension between Lil Meech and his former mentor escalated in February when 50 suggested that Big Meech was irritated with his bond with Lil Meech.
“I thought about it, I think [Big Meech] was uncomfortable with me and MeMe’s relationship,” 50 wrote in another social media post. He then claimed, “People don’t know I had to send MeMe to rehab,” elaborating on an incident where Meech was allegedly so intoxicated on the “BMF” set that he threw up during a weapons test. The “Many Men” performer also alleged that Meech had whippets in his truck, which he didn’t recognize at first.
