“Real Housewives of Miami” star Lisa Hochstein is now facing a felony charge after authorities say she secretly recorded her ex-husband’s private conversations, allegedly going as far as planting a hidden device inside his vehicle during their already volatile split.
According to an arrest warrant, Hochstein, 43, is accused of intercepting electronic communications after allegedly placing a recording device in a car belonging to Lenny Hochstein in March 2023. Investigators claim the device captured conversations without his knowledge or consent, including discussions about their children, finances, and his medical practice.
The warrant states that Lenny loaned his Mercedes-Benz to Lisa after she told him she was considering purchasing one. When the vehicle was returned days later, he later discovered what was described as a “hidden recorder” taped beneath the driver’s seat. After alerting his attorney, experts reportedly recovered audio files, including one moment where Lisa is heard saying, “Done,” as the device was being positioned.
Authorities allege the recordings extended beyond casual conversations, with additional recovered material including deleted files and personal audio. Lenny told investigators he never consented to being recorded and turned the device over to law enforcement.
Lisa has since turned herself in, posted bond, and entered a not guilty plea. Her attorney has pushed back, stating, “This matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court.”
The case lands against the backdrop of a high-profile divorce that began in 2022 after 13 years of marriage. Lisa previously claimed she was being “financially strangled,” while legal disputes between both parties stretched into custody, finances, and public allegations. The divorce was finalized in November 2024 with structured child support payments for their two children. The nasty split played out on “Real Housewives of Miami,” with Lisa accusing her husband of cheating on her multiple times.
Toward the end of the investigation, authorities also tied in Lisa’s ex-boyfriend, Jody Glidden to the case, alleging he purchased similar recording devices months earlier and worked alongside Lisa in placing the recorder. Glidden was arrested days before Lisa and has also pleaded not guilty while requesting a jury trial.
