The latest Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta episode, titled “Change of Course,” aired Monday, June 16, 2014 on VH1. VH1’s preview teased four storylines: Stevie and Joseline trying to make amends, Erica’s romance with O’Shea losing steam, Mimi and Nikko fighting over his past, and a secret that puts Kirk and Rasheeda’s marriage to the test. Here is how the night played out.
Stevie J and Joseline. Last week ended with Joseline frustrated after finding photos of other women on Stevie’s phone. This week she kept her distance but stayed in the house during the tension. Stevie denied that the photos meant anything and worked to smooth things over. Joseline also referred to Stevie as her husband several times, which had viewers asking whether the couple’s relationship is as solid as they say it is.
Mimi and Nikko. The sex tape that made headlines for the couple came up again, along with Mimi’s concerns about Nikko’s ex, Althea, being back in the picture. When Mimi found a lipstick stained shirt while doing laundry, she questioned Nikko, who gave an explanation she was not sure she could trust. She also asked him directly whether he had anything to do with the tape getting out.
Kirk and Rasheeda. While Rasheeda traveled to New Orleans for Mardi Gras with Karlie and Karlenna, Kirk stayed home with their two boys. During a disagreement with Rasheeda’s mother, Kirk let it slip that he had once taken a DNA test involving their son Karter. Rasheeda’s mother told her about it, and Rasheeda chose not to let it spoil her trip. Kirk then surprised her in New Orleans to apologize and try to save their marriage, though Rasheeda made it clear that repeated apologies only go so far.
Scrappy and Erica. The two met for lunch to catch up, and Scrappy explained how things changed in his life after Erica moved on. Erica, meanwhile, started to question where her relationship with O’Shea was headed. After an argument and a dramatic exit, O’Shea ran out of gas and called Erica for help. It was nice to see Erica and Scrappy getting along and building a friendship.
