Love Island USA Season 8 finale couples Peacock 2026

It feels like just yesterday the Season 8 Islanders were walking into that Fiji villa for the first time, sizing each other up and making first impressions that would set the tone for everything to come. Now here we are, days away from the finale, and what a season it has been. Love Island USA Season 8 wraps up this Sunday, July 12 on Peacock at 9 PM ET, and somebody is about to walk away with $100,000 and the title of America’s favorite couple.

But before we get to the finish line, let’s take a moment to appreciate just how much this season put these couples through.

Season 8 did not come to play. From the very beginning, the casting brought heat. Aniya Harvey, the daughter of retired NBA player Donnell Harvey, came in with eyes wide open. Beatriz Hatz, a bronze medalist for Team USA’s Paralympic track and field team, brought a story unlike anything the show had seen before. Zach Georgiou carried on the family legacy as the brother of Season 7 Islander Charlie Georgiou. The villa was stacked with personalities from Day 1, and the drama followed accordingly.

Then came Movie Night, and the villa has not been the same since. Movie Night is always a turning point in the season because it is the moment the Islanders are forced to reckon with what they actually said and did when they thought nobody was paying attention. The footage does not lie. The conversations that felt private were suddenly playing on a screen in front of everyone, and faces told a story that words had been carefully avoiding. Season 8’s Movie Night had the whole group chat going up in flames, and it set the stage for everything that followed.

If Movie Night cracked the foundation, Casa Amor shook the entire building. This season went bigger than any before it. In what the show called a franchise first, Season 8 featured double the normal amount of male Casa Amor islanders, bringing in 12 men to test the original girls while the boys were across the island facing their own temptations. The decisions made inside Casa Amor rippled through the rest of the season. KC and Corbin made choices that had the girls questioning everything. Sincere’s Casa Amor behavior had Melanie at a crossroads. The boys who thought they had moved carefully found out quickly that nothing stays secret in the villa. And when Megan Thee Stallion walked through the door for the second time in two seasons, fully locked in on every storyline, the accountability arrived in real time.

But here is the thing about Love Island that keeps viewers coming back: the chaos is not the point. The couples that survive it are the point.

Trinity and Bryce became the season’s first official boyfriend and girlfriend on June 29, making their status clear while everyone else was still navigating the fallout. They are the only couple considered a lock for Sunday’s finale. Aniya, who stayed loyal through everything and watched KC walk back in with someone else, found something real with Carl Schmidt after he came back from the dead inside a cake. Kenzie and Dylan have quietly built something that the cameras keep trying to pull apart but cannot. Melanie and Sincere are still standing despite the pressure.

Two of the six remaining couples will be dumped on Friday when America’s votes are revealed, leaving the final four to go on last romantic dates before the finale ceremony. Family visits are happening Thursday, which means parents, siblings, and best friends are about to add another layer to an already emotional week. The person who knows you best walking into the villa is either going to confirm what you already know or complicate what you thought you did.

The $100,000 prize at the end carries its own tradition. In every previous season, the winning couple has split the money. But the show does not let you forget that they did not have to. One partner gets the envelope with the cash. One gets the empty one. The decision of whether to share is entirely theirs. For six straight seasons, love has won that moment. Season 8 will be no different if the right couple wins.

So who is your favorite couple this season? And more importantly, who do you want to see walk away with the crown? Drop your pick in the comments because Sunday is almost here and the conversation is just getting started.
