Following up on our earlier post, Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant has denied any connection to a woman who posted screenshots of text messages on Twitter and attributed them to him. As we said before, we could not confirm the texts were from Dez. The only identifying detail was a Dallas area code.
According to Dez, he does not know the woman and does not have a Dallas area code number. He also said he had involved the NFLPA. Representatives close to Dez told Baller Alert that he and the NFLPA are looking into the matter further and that he considers the allegations false.
The woman has since deleted her Twitter page. A message reportedly sent from her to a number she believed was Dez’s said she had named the wrong player. We cannot verify that message, and there is no confirmation either way about who the texts involved.
Baller Alert reports what is publicly said, and we regret any trouble this caused Dez. With the allegations unverified and denied, there is nothing here to confirm. If legal action follows, we will report on it.
