Earlier this week we reported that Maino was being investigated for allegedly roughing up a porn star. Well, yesterday it appears the Brooklyn-bred rapper turned himself in.
Maino, real name Jermaine Coleman, is being accused of punching porn star Mellanie Monroe in the stomach/ribs and kicking her in the legs as she sat inside his truck which was parked outside Griffin nightclub. Cops on the scene helped Monroe out of the vehicle, where she left on foot. According to reports Maino drove away in the same direction and when Monroe saw the vehicle, she threw a hair brush at it and they began fighting again. This time Maino stayed inside the truck and his security stood by with a champagne bottle. Monroe and the security started tussling over the champagne bottle until she fell to the ground and hit her head. According to Maino’s camp, he was at the hotspot celebrating the recording of “King of Brooklyn Part 2,” when “a loud, belligerent young lady, whom he did not know, was escorted from Maino’s presence.”
NYPD booked Maino on misdemeanor assault after he turned himself into the 6th Precinct at 9:30 am Thursday morning. This all sounds like one big mess to me but I’m definitely not buying that he didn’t know the woman, why else was she in his truck? Do I bet that she was drunk and belligerent, absolutely!
