Beloved social media influencer Malik Taylor has tragically passed away, and the grim details surrounding his death have emerged.

The Concord Police Department in North Carolina confirmed that officers responded to the scene of a fatal crash on Wednesday morning, where a Nissan Rogue had veered off the roadway and plunged nearly two dozen feet below.

Taylor, who rose to fame on TikTok and through his “Unpopular Party” YouTube channel, was only 28 years old. The news has left his more than 250,000 TikTok followers in shock. Many of his 95,000 YouTube subscribers have also left a flurry of comments on his videos, expressing their condolences.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share our beloved Brother, Malik Taylor, has gone to ‘Audit Eternal,’” Alpha Kappa Psi, his business fraternity, wrote in a statement on Instagram. “To know him was to know he was a light to everyone—always bringing laughter, joy, and a warm smile that brightened every room he entered.”

The message continued, “Brother Taylor embodied the values of brotherhood, unity, and compassion. His ability to uplift others, share kindness, and spread joy will forever remain in our memories. Though your time with us was far too short, you were a good and faithful Brother, and the ‘Great Auditor’ will reward you for your everlasting work. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who loved him.”

Taylor’s last TikTok post came just a day before his passing, where he proudly showed off his new home in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had also recently celebrated turning 28, writing on Instagram, “Survived the 27 club (Barely)… Call me Malik Gatsby.”

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made public.
