Marshawn Lynch Agrees To Talk To Media In The Future To Avoid $75K Fine – blogged by @LoveRubyWoo

As you may or may not remember, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was hit with fine after fine during the previous NFL season. In fact, the man probably got fined as many times as he scored a touchdown. Whether it was avoiding reporters or grabbing his crotch in celebration, it seemed like the NFL just kept finding ways to make Lynch pay up. Specifically, after the NFC Championship game against the Packers, Lynch was hit with a whopping $75,000 fine after he refused to talk to the media.

Lynch had been trying to appeal the fine for months now and this past week, he was finally granted a hearing to try and make his case. Although the hearing was originally scheduled for Thursday, the two parties were actually able to agree on a settlement and he dropped his appeal. Under the terms of the agreement, the $75,000 fine will be revoked if Lynch agrees to talk to the media from now on. If he doesn’t comply, he will have to pay.

For now, Lynch is willing to cooperate. But once the season starts and he is reminded how aggravating it can be to deal with the reporters week after week, Marshawn may have a change of heart and just chalk up the $75K. If anyone can afford it, he can. But if Marshawn does decide to talk to the media going forward, one thing’s for sure…we’ll have quotes for days.
