Metro Boomin is still grappling with the tragic murder of his mother, Leslie Wayne.
On Thursday, the St. Louis producer shared an emotional message on Twitter, acknowledging the relentless grief he continues to face.
“Would give any and everything times 1000 to give My Mom a hug and have a conversation,” he wrote.
Leslie Wayne was killed in June 2022 in what authorities described as a murder-suicide carried out by her husband, Metro’s stepfather, in Georgia. What led up to the incident remains unclear.
“My Mom was and still is my best friend in the universe, and anybody who really know me know I’ve always been a Momma’s boy my whole life,” Metro wrote in an August 2022 Instagram Story.
Wayne was a foundational figure in her son’s life and career. In 2019, Metro gifted her a car for her birthday, calling her his “biggest inspiration.” In 2023, Metro honored her memory by donating $100,000 to five women-focused nonprofit organizations in St. Louis.
Metro followed up the tweet with another, reading “Feels like hell on earth.
