After days of teasing studio glimpses and Instagram posts, Quality Control has announced that the Migos are officially back together.
On Tuesday, the label that launched the group to the mainstream back in 2015 shared an image of Offset and Quavo posing together. The image was captioned “Just what we needed” before tagging the group’s official Instagram account.
The image was not only of two group members sharing a camera moment. It signaled the first time the pair had come together in over two years. Following issues with Quality Control, Offset left the group in mid-2022, leaving Takeoff and Quavo to operate as a duo largely under the moniker Unc & Phew. They released their album “Only Built for Infinity Links” on October 7, 2022, which did not include Offset, who had embarked on his solo journey. Tragically, Takeoff was murdered on November 1, 2022, inside a Houston bowling alley.
While there is no release date for the new music, it’s evident that both men have put their differences aside and are ready to give fans what they’ve been rooting for. In previous interviews, Quavo has revealed that there are many unreleased Takeoff tracks that will likely make the album’s final tracklist.
