Defendant Milagro Gramz took the stand and addressed the money she received from Tory Lanez’s father at a time when public attention was focused on the case involving Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion.
According to her testimony, she received about $3,000 between late 2020 and early 2022, sent in six payments ranging from $200 to $1,000. Milagro told the court the money was simply for her birthday and her daughters’ birthdays. She said the gifts were sent on more than one occasion. She also explained that part of the payments were for promotional work she did for Lanez’s father, including helping with his podcast and what she believed was a book project.
Prosecutors questioned whether the money was linked to her public commentary about the Megan Thee Stallion case or whether she had ever been offered a larger sum. She said she had not, and she denied that the payments were connected to anything she said about the case.
Milagro maintained the payments were small gifts and promo fees, not attempts to influence her statements.
