Webbie wasted no time taking Angela Yee’s interview with him and Boosie Badazz in a completely different direction. Just 30 seconds into their appearance on “Way Up With Angela Yee,” the Baton Rouge rapper caught the radio host off guard with a bold question.

The conversation started with Yee expressing how happy she was to see the longtime collaborators reunited and making music together again. However, Webbie appeared to have something else on his mind.“What, you wanna get flipped ?” Webbie asked.
The unexpected remark quickly became the standout moment from the opening of the interview, with clips of the exchange circulating across social media.
What began as a conversation about music suddenly took a suggestive turn, courtesy of Webbie’s famously unpredictable personality. His question had little to do with the reunion Yee was discussing, making the timing even more unexpected.
The Webbie and Boosie interview arrives during an important chapter for the Louisiana rappers, who have reunited professionally after years of publicly documented disagreements.
Both artists helped establish Baton Rouge as a major force in Southern hip hop during the early 2000s. Their chemistry produced memorable collaborations, including “Wipe Me Down,” “Independent,” and music from their joint projects “Ghetto Stories” and “Gangsta Musik.”
However, their relationship eventually became strained.
Webbie publicly questioned Boosie’s loyalty in 2020, leading to an exchange between the former collaborators over their friendship and support for one another.
Their disagreements left uncertainty about whether the two would ever fully reconnect musically.
That changed as the rappers began appearing together again. In August 2025, VladTV reported that Boosie and Webbie had reunited in the studio, with Boosie teasing plans for another “Gangsta Musik” project.
Their renewed partnership continued into 2026, with the rappers performing together and preparing new material.
In September, Webbie and Boosie announced a collaborative mixtape titled “Back At It,” scheduled for release on October 24, 2026.
The project represents another opportunity for the duo to build on the sound that helped define their earlier careers.
