This week’s New Music Friday proves that summer is just around the corner, with one rap duo teaming up again just weeks before Daisy Dukes season commences.
Latto previously teased “GOMF.” However, just days ago, GloRilla shared a snippet of her verse on the track. Friday, fans were greeted with “GOMF” in its final form, and the ladies did not disappoint. Latto and Glo previously linked up on “Procedure” and “FTCU” alongside the late Gangsta Boo. Now, with “GOMF,” this pair continues to showcase their musical chemistry, delivering bars over Soulja Boy’s classic, “Yahhh!” As Latto inches closer to motherhood and an album, it’s clear her music is elevating while still staying true to her core fan base.
Kehlani brought the heat on the R&B side with her self-titled album. The 17-track project packs a punch with star-studded features from Lil Wayne, Clipse, Brandy, Missy Elliott, Usher, T-Pain, Lil Jon, Big Sean, and Leon Thomas. However, the standout guest appearance is Cardi B, who appears on her third collaboration, “Pocket,” with the singer following “Ring” and “Safe.” Merging smooth vocals with Cardi’s Bronx bars, the duo likely has another hit on their hands.
