Nicki Minaj is now at the center of a lawsuit after a production company accused her team of leaving a major bill unpaid. According to TMZ, details claims that the company covered large-scale event costs and never saw that money returned. So now, what started as business is turning into a legal fight.
Court documents show that 24 7 Productions is seeking more than $275,000 from Nicki Minaj and her company. The production company says it handled key work tied to multiple events but never received reimbursement. Because of that, the situation has escalated into a formal lawsuit.
The relationship reportedly began back in 2022 during the MTV Video Music Awards. That opportunity opened the door for more work, so by late 2023, the company says it was brought in for bigger moments. These included Jingle Ball performances and the rollout tied to Pink Friday 2.
According to the lawsuit, 24 7 Productions claims it handled nearly every part of production. This included planning, staffing, lighting, audio, and full on-site management. They also say budgets were approved ahead of time, which is central to their claim.
At the heart of the issue is the money. The company alleges it fronted more than $275,000 in production costs with the expectation of being paid back. However, they say that repayment never came, which is why the dispute has now moved into court.
The lawsuit also points to revenue tied to these events. Filings claim Nicki Minaj’s company generated around $650,000 from Jingle Ball performances alone. Still, the production company says its invoices remain unpaid, which strengthens its argument.
The company says it spent years trying to resolve this before filing. It claims responses from Nicki’s team were repeated and noncommittal, often saying the issue would be looked into. So now, those delays are part of the legal case.
24 7 Productions is seeking damages exceeding $275,000 along with additional compensation tied to the alleged breach.
