Nipsey Hussle's Baby Girl Is All Grown Up — And She Just Graduated Private School

Emani Asghedom, the eldest daughter of the late rap icon Nipsey Hussle, has reached a major milestone — graduating from New Roads School, a prestigious private college-preparatory institution in Santa Monica, California. The 17-year-old crossed the stage as a member of the Class of 2026, with her uncle Blacc Sam and her mother, Tanisha Foster, on hand to celebrate the momentous occasion.

A Family United For A Proud Moment

The graduation brought together two sides of Emani’s world. Her uncle, Blacc Sam — born Samiel Asghedom — the older brother of Nipsey Hussle and permanent administrator of his brother’s estate, was present to cheer her on. Her mother, Tanisha Foster, also attended, making the ceremony a meaningful gathering of family around Emani’s achievement.

Who Is Emani Asghedom?

Born on November 9, 2008, in California, Emani is the eldest child of Ermias Joseph Asghedom — known to the world as Nipsey Hussle — and Tanisha Foster. In addition to her academic career, she pursued athletics at New Roads, playing volleyball on the school’s JV team. Now 17, she transitions into the next chapter of her life as a high school graduate.

Nipsey Hussle: A Legacy That Lives On

Emani’s father was one of hip-hop’s most celebrated and community-minded artists. Born and raised in the Crenshaw district of South Central Los Angeles, Nipsey built a groundbreaking career rooted in independence and entrepreneurship — most notably with his 2018 double-platinum debut album Victory Lap and the iconic Marathon Clothing store. He was tragically shot and killed outside his store on March 31, 2019, at the age of 33.

Blacc Sam: Keeping the Marathon Alive

Since Nipsey’s passing, his older brother Blacc Sam has been the steadfast guardian of the Asghedom family legacy. As the permanent administrator of Nipsey’s estate, he has continued expanding The Marathon brand — most recently opening Marathon Burger on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles in March 2025. His presence at Emani’s graduation is a testament to a family that refuses to let grief define them.

New Roads School: An Inspired Choice

New Roads School is a K–12 college preparatory private independent school in Santa Monica known for its diverse student body and commitment to academic excellence. Emani has been part of the school community for years, competing on the girls’ volleyball team — a well-rounded student-athlete carrying the driven spirit of her father forward.

As the Asghedom family marks this milestone, one thing is clear: Nipsey Hussle may be gone, but his marathon — now carried forward by his daughter — is far from over.
