Nigerian Nupe, also known as Diamond Nupe, is publicly putting marriage to Saucy Santana back into the conversation. During Atlanta Black Pride Weekend, the TikTok creator played Date, Marry, Friend Zone with Gaye Magazine and was given three choices: Saucy Santana, Big Freedia and Uncle Clifford from “P Valley.” Nupe chose marriage for both Santana and Big Freedia while putting Uncle Clifford in the friend zone.

The interview was recorded during Atlanta Black Pride Weekend, which ran from September 2 through September 7, 2026. Santana was also part of the weekend’s entertainment lineup and was scheduled to perform during the festivities.The answer immediately connects back to the public history between Nupe and Santana. Their relationship played out heavily on TikTok, including disagreements that unfolded in front of viewers. A March 2025 archive of one of their livestreams showed Nupe traveling to see Santana before the two got into an argument after Nupe said he had been unable to reach him.
By March 2026, Nupe and Santana had split. Baller Alert reported on March 16 that Santana had recently gone viral following his breakup with Nupe, as cheating allegations circulated across TikTok.
Those allegations became more specific when multiple March 2026 livestream clips documented Nupe discussing his ex, Splat. He appeared to admit that he cheated on Santana at some point in their relationship.
Santana later addressed the situation himself. During an August 11 appearance on Angela Yee’s “Lip Service,” Santana was directly asked whether he and Nupe were back together. Santana said, “I’m not back with him,” while explaining that the two still had love and respect for each other and had maintained a friendship despite everything that happened.
Santana also pushed back when one of the hosts asked whether both men had cheated. He answered no and said, “You never heard me say that.” Santana explained that he and Nupe had been seen spending time together again, which led some followers to assume they had reconciled. He said their renewed closeness did not mean the relationship had officially resumed.
Santana made his status even clearer during the same interview. He said he would not go from being someone’s boyfriend to being one of several romantic options, explaining that he and Nupe could remain cool while each did their own thing. When asked whether he currently had a boyfriend, Santana answered that he was single. However, Nupe did appear in the music video for Santana’s “Quiet On the Creek” video.
Before that interview, Santana appeared on TikTok Live with Domo Cash in April, who kissed and embraced him on camera. Santana had not publicly confirmed the exact nature or length of that relationship at the time.
As of Nupe’s Atlanta Pride answer, it’s clear he still loves Santana just as much, even if the two aren’t in a relationship right now.
