Nutella is officially stepping into the frozen dessert world, and longtime fans of the hazelnut spread are already clearing space in their freezers. The brand announced its first-ever Nutella ice cream line on May 13, marking a major expansion for the iconic product that has spent more than 60 years dominating breakfast tables and snack cabinets worldwide.

The new rollout includes two products: a 14-ounce Nutella Ice Cream tub and single-serve wafer cones filled with swirls and layers of the brand’s signature hazelnut cocoa flavor. According to the company, the pint-style container delivers “a rich, multi-textured, spoonable format,” while the cone version was designed for “spontaneous moments on the go.” Prices reportedly start at $4.36 for tubs and $5.47 for a four-pack of cones.

“This is the freezer-aisle debut that’s been a long time coming,” the brand said in its announcement. Food Network personality Alex Guarnaschelli reacted online with a string of clapping emojis shortly after the reveal.

The launch continues Nutella’s unusually busy year. Just weeks ago, the company introduced Nutella Peanut, its first new flavor innovation since the brand debuted in 1964. Ferrero, Nutella’s parent company, has also been expanding aggressively into frozen desserts following its acquisition of Wells Enterprises, the company behind Blue Bunny and Halo Top.

And somehow, Nutella still found time to go viral after a jar floated through NASA’s Artemis II spacecraft livestream last month. The company leaned into the moment, posting: “Nutella is out of this world.”
