Earlier this week, I was driving home, listening to the radio. A caller called into the radio station and stated that she gives her husband a hall pass to sleep with other women because she lost her sex drive after having children.

The talk of hall passes has been going around for a few years but not many agree with the terms of what “the pass” entails. A pass is giving your significant other the opportunity to cheat on you without any consequences or repercussions.

I totally understand losing your sex drive after having a baby. Your body goes through changes, your sleep pattern is off, and often times women go through postpartum depression. But, giving your husband a pass is not only going to hurt you but your relationship as well.

A husband that loves his wife and everything that she stands for wouldn’t agree to a hall pass. He would try to comfort his wife and see what they can do to try and understand what’s going on with her.

A hall pass is an easy way out of dealing with the real issue. A marriage is a union between two people that love each other, for better or worse. Don’t throw a relationship away by allowing your mate to cheat. In the end, you will regret it and your relationship will suffer from it. Communication, Love, loyalty, and trust is the key to a successful relationship.
