Indonesian officials reported at least 125 people were killed in a stampede Saturday during an Indonesian soccer match.
It was a tragic scene as fans swarmed the field and opposing sides fought violently, TMZ reported.
Police were outnumbered and fired rounds of tear gas. In fact, it was a fatal move because fans ran for the exits, which caused a stampede.
Dozens were trampled to death, and some died by suffocation.
Later there were reports of mass rioting at police vehicles after people found out that riot police inside the stadium caused the death of 153 people.
More than 300 others were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. However, a number of them died while being transported to the ER.
The hospitals in the area are overwhelmed.
