21 Savage is responding to Kodak Black’s claims that he switched up on the rapper after working with Drake to create their joint album Her Loss.
During a recent episode of Drink Champs, Kodak expressed that he felt a type of way towards 21.
“Drake just got a certain little effect that he do to mother f*ckas and sh*t,” Kodak stated. “After the album they did together, all of a sudden, mother f*ckas felt like… on that p*ssy-ass sh*t. You vocalize it for real on the ‘Gram, on the internet, like you ain’t never vibe with me and sh*t.”
Of course, the clip went viral and 21 caught wind of Kodak’s comments. 21 took to X (Twitter) to simply deny the claims by tweeting over 40 blue cap emojis.
During his Instgram Live, he indirectly addressed Kodak, saying that he barely knew the rapper and suggested that he was upset about an apparent feud that took place between the two during the 2016 XXL Freshman Class.
“First of all, what’s supposed to [have] changed? I ain’t grow up with you, n*gga. I don’t know you,” claimed 21 Savage. “You rap, I rap. I always supported you and sh*t ’cause I f*cked with your movement, I f*cked with what you had going on.”
He said, “You’re talking about I switched up. You in your feelings ’cause I’m on Clubhouse and they asked me – I can’t believe I’m even doing this weak-ass sh*t on mother f*cking Live. I’m on Clubhouse. They asked me who I feel like who could win in a Verzuz from the Freshman Class. You’re the only n*gga to get in your feelings.”
21 also suggested that Kodak’s comment about not wanting to work with Drake because of Savage’s collaboration with Drake added to their disagreement.
“What [does] that sound like to y’all? That sound like I switched up? Or [does] that sound like a n#### in their feelings?” he said.
