These rape allegations are not going away for former Baller Darren Sharper. Earlier this week Sharper was arrested in connection with two incidents of rape, taking place earlier this month and another last October. Although Sharper has just recently been arrested and accused of rape, this is not the first time.
In September 2013 a New Orleans woman contacted New Orleans PD claiming that Sharper sexually assaulted her. An NOPD spokesperson confirmed that the department received the complaint and launched an investigation.
The case is still open and active and is being investigated as a simple rape/sexual assault case. Sharper is currently being represented by a New Orleans lawyer. He’s currently free on $200,000 bond with a February court date in Los Angeles.
