While sitting in an Ohio jail cell, boxer Adrien Broner has been delivered the news that he has been indicted on assault and robbery charges.Â
A man claims that back in January, Broner assaulted, and pulled a gun on him over a gambling dispute outside of a bowling alley in Cincinnati. A warrant was issued for Broner’s arrest in March. Earlier this week Broner turned himself in for violating probation in an unrelated incident. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
Broner was indicted Thursday on an aggravated robbery charge, a first-degree felony that carries a maximum sentence of 3 – 10 years. Broner was also indicted on second-degree charges of felonious assault and robbery, which carries sentences of 2-8 years.
A pretrial hearing has not been set yet, however Broner’s bond was set at $100,000. Broner is not scheduled to be released from jail for his probation violation until April 22.
