Airbnb Will Host A New Search Option For Luxury Homes

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I bet you’re looking at the hotel prices for spring break or your next family vacation like, “This is not what I am willing to pay for a small room!”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since Airbnb started back in 2008, there has been a tremendous change in the way people arrange their lodging on vacations. The travel option is cheaper, surprisingly safer, and is usually more convenient for guests.
Having been in business for 10 years, the company will be beginning to offer more to its customers including loyal guests perks like airport pickups and different types of luxury search options.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The company is looking to offer more hotel like experiences to premiere customers in something they call Airbnb Plus, which will separate the cream of the crop properties. Currently, the only search options on Airbnb are for Entire Home, Private Room, and Shared Space listings. What about those that would like a more luxurious experience?
Airbnb Co-Founder, CEO, and Head of Community, Brian Chesky, told The Sun UK that they have you guys covered!
This spring there will be four new types of luxury properties you can search for: Vacation Home, B&B and Boutique, and Unique.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Vacation Homes will offer stays centered around beach and ski resorts.
The B&B and Boutique option will supply boutique hotels and guesthouses with a strong design element.
And Unique homes will be just that – from caves to treehouses. If you are looking for something a little more risqué or edgy, this is the search option for you.
Homes chosen in Plus will be vetted for quality, cleanliness, and comfort.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Chesky had this to say about the change in regards to pricing,
“It will be up to hosts what they choose to charge, but Plus will have an emphasis on our brilliant hosts and what they strive to offer people staying with them.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He went on to mention, “10 years ago we never dreamed of what Airbnb could become. In fact, people thought the idea that strangers would stay in each other’s homes was crazy. Today, millions of people every night do just that. But we want to go further by supporting and expanding our community so that in ten years time, more than one billion people per year will experience the benefits of magical travel on Airbnb.”
