AppleCare+ will now cover “unlimited” repairs for accidental damage.
You read it right. For the folks who are constantly dropping their phone or those who like to have their Apple products in tip-top shape, AppleCare+ has got you covered — literally.
Instead of the old coverage rule that covers two accidental damage fixes per year, AppleCare+ is now covering breaks and damages 365 days out of the year. And it all starts today. The Verge reports that the service will cover “unlimited repairs for accidental damage protection.”
However, service fees and deductibles are still around, a screen or back glass repairs will cost $29, and “other accidental damage” will cost $99. Any damage caused by “unexpected and unintentional events” would be placed under AppleCare+, The Verge reports.
Coverage for AppleCare+ will remain the same price. If you’re about to invest in the iPhone 14 Pro, coverage would cost you $9.99 a month or $199 for two years.
