R&B singer August Alsina is shutting down rumors that he is in the process of writing a tell-all memoir about his relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith.
“What would be the need to write a book about my supposed ‘sex life’ with ANYBODY, EVER, in life?” he questioned in a screenshot of a text message he shared on Instagram. “If you are looking for that kind of entertainment, read the book called ‘Holy Bible’ while you’re at it.”
On Twitter, Alsina rebuked a troll who had inquired about his forthcoming book. “No!,” he wrote. “It would make you a messy thotBox of a supposed ‘man,’ for being [on Twitter] based off lies concerning where my stick goes.”
Rumors about the memoir began just days after he referenced his “entanglement” romance with Pinkett Smith in his new song “Shake the World,” released earlier this week, which followed the incident at the Oscars when Will Smith smacked Chris Rock for making fun of Pinkett Smith’s short hair.
By Tuesday, rumors had already spread about Alsina’s forthcoming book.
A source close to the singer reportedly told The Sun, “August is getting ready to sign a big-money book deal which will detail his romantic liaisons with Jada.”
In addition, the insider claimed that Alsina was in the middle of a “bidding war” with publishers who were offering a six-figure payout in exchange for his messy story.
“August will detail his time with Jada and will also speak about how he spent time living in homes owned by Will when he was away filming,” the source claimed.
However, Alsina allegedly still denies writing a messy memoir for large sums of money.
“Why would one look to make that type of money, eating from the lowest a fruit, when God’s promise is GREAT HARVEST,” he continued on Instagram.
“I’m God’s very own, so he makes me rich! Not just in spirit,” he asserted. “Be blessed.”
