The mystery surrounding Draya Michele’s oversized overalls has officially been solved.
The 39-year-old model has officially announced that she is expecting a baby. On Friday, Michele broke the internet with her pregnancy reveal. Via Instagram, she shared several images of her growing tummy and also shared that she is having a daughter.
“As women, we navigate through so much, often leading us to question, ‘What is my purpose?’ For me, the magic lies in motherhood and the awe-inspiring ability to bring life into this world over the span of two decades. It’s my superpower. And if anything can surpass the wonder of being a woman, it’s the privilege of bringing another woman into existence,” she wrote in the post, which was shared on International Women’s Day.
Michele is a mother of two already: a 22-year-old son, Kniko Howard, and an eight-year-old son, Jru Scandrick, with former NFL player Orlando Scandrick. While Michele didn’t reveal the identity of her daughter’s father, social media has concluded that it is likely 22-year-old Houston Rockets star Jalen Green, whom Michele has reportedly been dating. Their relationship has been a topic of public scrutiny, primarily due to the large age gap. Joe Budden even weighed in on the matter on his podcast, claiming that Michele pursuing Green was predatory. Michele only fueled pregnancy rumors during a basketball game in January, when she was spotted wearing baggy overalls and seemingly walking as if she may be carrying a large belly.
“We are overjoyed to share our love for you, little girl. I’m excited to speak words to the daughter I never thought I’d have. We are anxious about your arrival, but take your time — this world can be tough. But know you are being brought into a space of love, security, and adornment,” Michele concluded her caption, also adding that she is seven months and due in May.
Green has not commented on the pregnancy announcement.
