Nearly 300,000 pounds of beef have been recalled because of a possible E. coli contamination.
On July 29, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service published the recall and all the products that may have been affected. According to Yahoo! Life the nearly 300,000 pounds of beef was produced by Great Omaha Packing. Thirty-eight different products were recalled, including chuck meat, beef ribs, and boneless shank steaks.
The beef was produced on July 13, 2021, and was sent out to Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Nebraska. So far, no one has reported any illnesses related to the E. coli contamination of the beef.
Anyone who may have purchased the meat should immediately throw it away or return it to the store it was purchased from. The recalled beef establishment number is listed as “EST. 960A.”
