The highly anticipated album from Beyoncé has quickly become a hit on streaming services, including Spotify, where it set a record for the highest number of streams in one day for 2024.
Beyoncé’s latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” became Spotify’s most-streamed album of the year in just a single day since its release on Friday, according to TMZ.
Streaming data shows that the project was streamed 76.13 million times since its debut on Spotify, significantly surpassing the numbers of her previous album, “Renaissance,” which garnered about 43 million streams at the time of its release.
This marks the first time a country album has achieved this distinction this year on Spotify, TMZ reported, noting that it’s the biggest debut on Spotify by a Black female artist ever.
Beyoncé’s single “Texas Hold ‘Em” from this album had already been streamed more than 200 million times before its release on Friday.
