In a recent appearance on Gillie Da Kid and Wallo’s Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Big Sean opened up about what it’s like working with Kanye West.
“Kanye can be very hard to work with,” Big Sean said. “Kanye will have you re-do a verse 10 times and not use them.”
Hit-Boy, who appeared alongside Big Sean, echoed Sean’s sentiment. “[Kanye will have you] re-do some drums ten times,” he added.
Big Sean, who was promoting his What You Expect EP, says he only celebrates his features on Ye’s songs once they are officially out. In the past, he’s been taken off several tracks without being told ahead of time.
Big Sean also took to Twitter to make sure it’s known that he did his Million Dollaz Worth of Game interview about a month ago. Kanye’s Drink Champs interview with N.O.R.E. and DJ E.F.N. aired first, and Sean wants people to know his comments are not responding to what Yeezy said.
“Did this Million Dollars worth a Game interview bout a month ago,” he wrote in the now-deleted tweet, “a lot of people looking at it as a response to Ye’s Drink Champs and it’s not, I filmed it before that.”
