The fight over the Epstein files is turning into a public trust issue, and Bill Clinton wants the whole curtain pulled back.
The former President is pressing the Justice Department to release all remaining Epstein-related records, arguing that the staggered disclosures coming out of the Trump administration raise serious questions about motive and intent. According to Clinton’s team, the current process feels less like compliance and more like control.
In a statement posted to Twitter by his spokesperson, Angel Ureña, Clinton’s position was laid out clearly.
“The Epstein Files Transparency Act imposes a clear legal duty on the U.S. Department of Justice to produce the full and complete record the public demands and deserves,” Ureña wrote. He then pointed to the rollout itself, saying, “However, what the Department of Justice has released so far, and the manner in which it did so, makes one thing clear: someone or something is being protected. We do not know whom, what, or why. But we do know this: We need no such protection.”
The comments follow the Justice Department’s recent release of thousands of files tied to Jeffrey Epstein, issued just before the law’s deadline. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said more documents would be made public over the coming weeks, a move that drew criticism from lawmakers who helped author the legislation, including Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna.
The initial release included photos of Clinton on Epstein’s private jet and in social settings with women whose faces were redacted, along with images of Clinton dining with Epstein and Mick Jagger. Clinton has consistently denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes and maintains he ended all contact once Epstein’s conduct became public.

Ureña also directly called on Donald Trump to immediately release any materials referencing or depicting Clinton, warning that selective disclosure risks casting shadows without context.
The pressure is intensifying as Clinton and Hillary Clinton now face subpoenas from House Oversight Chair James Comer, setting the stage for a deeper reckoning over who knew what, and when.
