Just when we thought Boosie and T.I. were about to set it off, the two reconciled their differences.
Boosie appeared on VladTv and talked about squashing the beef over his accusations that T.I. had cooperated with police to get a lesser charge.
“It just went like two bosses of handling, man,” the Baton Rouge rapper told DJ Vlad. “First of all… We got kids who love each other. … We was going back and forth, and he spoke how he felt and I spoke how I felt.”
Last month, the King of the South spoke about the situation, too, saying he explained the situation to Boosie after Boosie accused him of snitching on his dead cousin Toot.
“He filled me in, and I failed him,” Boosie said, admitting he misspoke on the situation.
“I gave him an apology, ‘cause after we kept going back-and-forth… the things he was doing for me, in my life, at the time, I kind of felt bad.”
“He was doing some real shit, helping me in a lot of ways. But I still told him I stand on what I stand on. When he explained it to me, we got by it, man.” Boosie also suggested the story that started the conflict was “embellished,” and thankfully they talked it out and didn’t “let the internet win” by pitting them against one another.
Boosie’s comments came after a clip surfaced of a 2020 episode of T.I.’s expediTIously show, in which he spoke about a 2000 incident that led to a firearm charge. His lawyer offered to “make everything go away” if he pinned the weapon on his dead cousin, who was murdered in the middle of the trial.
“Toot said, ‘I’ll take all the charges you got! If you can walk away free and put it on me, godda** right! ’Cause I’ll be damned if they gonna come and mother**kin’ extradite me from here!’” said T.I. in the clip, which caused Boosie to cancel his collaborative record with the Atlanta rapper.
Boosie also called T.I. a “rat” After seeing the clip to him, it looked like T.I. was working with law enforcement to get a less charge.
However, T.I. denied the allegations and later explained to Boosie what actually took place, adding that the episode was “embellished.”
